The Living Room

A monthly gathering inside The Department of Aliveness.

There’s a particular kind of tired that comes from being brave for too long.

The Living Room is a place to set that down for a moment. A gently facilitated space to be witnessed — and to be human in company.

Not to sort your life out.
Not to arrive with the right words.
Just to come as you are… and feel yourself exhale in the presence of others.

Upcoming session: Saturday, Feb 28 — 9:00 AM

Included with membership in The Department of Aliveness.

What is the Living Room

The Living Room is a room you can step into once a month.

  • A place where you don’t have to perform.

  • A place where you’re allowed to be tender, honest, quiet, complicated.

  • A place where you can be held by the simplest thing:

Steady company.

This is a space for being witnessed — the kind of witnessing that doesn’t rush you. It’s the kind that lets your nervous system loosen. The kind that helps you remember: I’m still here. I still belong.

Coming back to aliveness

The Department of Aliveness is a practice in coming back to what’s real.

Not as a project. You don’t need more work. As contact.

  • Contact with your breath.

  • Contact with your inner weather.

  • Contact with the part of you that’s been doing its best — even when it’s messy, even when it’s hard.

The Living Room is one of the ways we do that together.

Because sometimes aliveness isn’t fireworks. Sometimes it’s a slow return. A softening. A quiet yes.

What happens in the room

The Living Room is gently held and lightly structured, so it stays spacious and safe.

You can expect:

  • a soft landing (arrival + grounding)

  • a few shared agreements (so the room can hold what’s real)

  • an invitation to share (with the option to pass, always)

  • witnessing (listening without interruption or fixing)

  • resourcing (so you leave more settled than you arrived)

  • a clear close (so nothing is left hanging)

Some people speak a lot. Some people don’t speak at all. Both are welcome.

How it will feel

Leave with:

  • a little more room in your chest

  • less loneliness inside with what you’re carrying

  • a quiet sense of being supported

  • a steadier connection with yourself, and others

Not because anything was solved, but because something was met.

Who it’s for

The Living Room is for members who want:

  • a place to arrive without polishing themselves first

  • community that feels honest and gentle

  • support that doesn’t require you to “get better” to be worthy of it

  • a monthly moment to be witnessed and resourced

If you’ve been holding a lot, you don’t have to hold it alone here.

If you’re wondering if you have to share

You don’t.

You can speak. You can pass. You can simply be here.
There’s room for quiet. Room for tears. Room for laughter. Room for not knowing.
